Gawker has changed a lot since I started reading it about 2 years ago. But they've always been obsessed with Conde Nast. Gawker is a self-professed 'Media Gossip Sheet' and Conde Nast produces the magazines that they like to read. look, you're from california. you know how TV news programs are trying not to run live helicopter coverage of high-speed car chases because it encourages other people to bolt from the cops? that's all well and good, but the monster (ie, the public) wants to see car chases. same here: paris is of dubious news value and coverage of her encourages other vapid tramps to behave badly for the cameras, but all the same: it's entertaining, SO GIMME IT.
