Now I guess I will now discontinue my premium channel subscriptions on Cable. No need of them for now.

The Wire - Season 6 starts on Jan 6.

Wouldn't it be silly to disactivate and then reactivate for 2 weeks? Would that even save you money?

You are right though, Showtime seems to have nothing original coming up.

Just the second season. There will be a third sometime next year. I just think I'll cancel the premium channels and stick to netflix for a while.

It is very good, and I definitely want to read the books as well.
