Hey, I send you big bear-hugs, except they might trigger a coughing fit, so instead I'll just send my sympathies. Especially for having to overnight in an emergency room.
Ta. Yes. I'm sure "my hostess ended up hospitalized" is no fun for him either. I can't help it, though.
I conclude that dusting off and nuking the site from orbit is unnecessary except as to the triage nurse. Everyone else ranged from polite/professional at the very least to, in the case of my cheerful and caring x-ray technician, downright lovely. She was really a morale booster.
I am highly annoyed that I, who get sick enough to take a day off about once a year, got sick enough to go to the ER for the first time since I broke my arm rollerblading as a kid, when I just did a 10K two weeks ago, I lost five pounds training for it, and I gave up alcohol for Lent. So I should be in my best shape in ages. Why would I get sick now?! (Especially annoying since I can't run due to lung doom. I can feel my muscle bulk and stamina dissipating. Argh.)
