The Human Services club here decided they were going to have a bake sale to raise cash for the "Hokie Spirit Memorial Fund". The club exists to advocate, educate and promote a greater understanding of human needs.
When I came in this morning I couldn't even see the table for the amount of people surrounding it. When I finally got to the table I saw alot of chocolate, a donation jar and a poster board with markers and pens.

The big piece of white posterboard was set up so people could write their well wishes for the families, that is going to be sent with the donation.
While adding my own well wishes I saw so many different signatures, the board was almost covered. So many people stopped to sign even if they didn't have money to donate.

Then next to the donation jar was a small pile of ribbons on safety pins. They didn't seem to be giving them out but I asked if she had an extra one. The woman running the sale beamed at me and said "my son made them so please forgive it if they aren't even".
I wear it proudly, knowing that it was made with love by a child touched by this and learning to deal with a tragedy he doesn't understand.

So from all of us here, our hopes go out to you.
