I glanced nervously at the watch on my wrist once again, it showed I had been waiting in the pickup area at the airport for close to forty-five minutes. I really did not have the courage to call and have someone on the other end pickup and tell me something I did not wish to hear

"Oh my god." I said when I saw Willow. Quickly, I looked at my watch. "Willow!" I knew I forgot something important. I adavanced forward to give her a hug. "I'm so sorry we forgot about picking you up. There was this thing at school and then Faith showed up here. Me and Xander just forgot." I frowned abit before stepping back abit.
"But I'm so glad you are home!" I said while turning my frown upside down and hugging her again. "The gang is going to be so happy that you back! Xander!" After letting go of Willow, I looked over into the living room. I was happy.

"Quite the Hellmouth reunion we got goin' here. Hey Red. Glad to see I can still call you that," I blurted before I could hold back the remark about her once-black hair. I really didn't need to be pushing people's buttons.
Had to wonder, though...how come Red got the big welcome-home excitement and all I got were nervous glances and cold comments? It's not like she and I were that different. Much as I hated to admit it, she'd probably be my best bet for an ally. Man, that was a weird thought.
"No, seriously, glad you're, y'know, back and everything," I tried a politer tack, even rising from the couch and stepping towards the door.

"WILLOW!" I went to hug her, but was so relieved she was here, I picked her up and kissed her firmly on the cheek.
"You're home, and you're okay, and how was England? Did they have anything cool? Did you ride a double-decker bus? See the changing of the guard? How is old 'stiff upper lip? Oh, and did ya notice?" I took a breath
"Faith is here".

I'd heard one or two things about Willow - just gossip on the watcher grapevine - but they were enough to make me feel a bit nervous. I decided to sit quietly and wait until everyone was settled before saying anything.

"Hi." I said, giving a friendly smile to the girl, glancing back then to Xander with a "who is she" look.

"You may be right there, Becca." Was really all I could think to say as the memory of what happened in England returned. My seeing the hellmouth, its teeth and knowing that it wanted to swallow the town, whole. All I could think of was that it had started, not yet here in Sunnydale, but places beyond, and it would soon make its way here.
