well i heard canon kicks all it competions asses, something about autofocus and all that good stuff. I have a Cannon PowerShotA520/510, it's pretty nifty you can do so much but it really depends on what you want it for, i can help if i knew what you were planning on using it for :)

I just want it for daily use nothing fancy. I'm no photographer. I just want to take pictures of my cats and bank robberies. Maybe I'll turn mental and use it for nothing but new MySpace PICS and nothing else. But nothing High tech. Thanks Shirley.

hmm...well then, my cannon has been purty good to me. A 3.1 megapixel should be enough for good looking pictures, the higher the number the closer you can zoom in on your picture to edit them. make sure to get good zoom as well for those bank robberies, not optical zoom because that sucks, maybe 3x zoom. My camera was like $250 or something so thats kinda in you price range, happys shoppings!
