Samuel v. Esau

Jun 15, 2010 21:09

So, we got a name off-screen for the MIB: Samuel.

But I'm still really stuck on Esau. (In my head, I pronounce it something like 'esoo'--does anyone know if that's correct?)

Is anyone having trouble with this for fic and discussion? Is anyone thinking of sticking with Esau?

character discussion, miscellaneous, character: samuel

His name was Samuel in my WIP so I'm ok with it :D
I have a hard time calling him something other than MiB outside of fic though.

Oh and in school we always pronounced it ee-saw.

Samuel kind of fits, so I'm okay with seeing it. But since it isn't officially confirmed, I just go around the name issue if I have to write something.

I'm fine with Samuel, but I think I'm keep on calling him Esau :x (I know how it's actually pronounced, but for some reason my mind pronounces it "eh-soh" or "e-sau") Lol.

I also like referring to him as man in black, the dark man, the other, etc, if I feel like being really vague and spooky :3

also I don't feel like changing my character tag for him and going back to all my fics and editing them to say 'samuel' ;P

I'm having no issue with it at all! I...actually hated "Esau" rather a lot. Too on the nose. And now that we've seen their backstory it doesn't fit him at all. He was actually the favored son. So, yeah. Nevermind that I can call him Sam/Sammy now. :3
