i know this couple who has been going out for at least three years and as of yesterday, they broke up. and for some reason, it makes me feel really bad and uncomfortable. like horrible. i kind of feel like my parents got divorced. i guess they were like a constant of idealistic romance and whatnot, and they kinda made me feel like it was possible

Its sad,but it happens. :( This probably isn't the best example but before gwen stefani and gavin rosdale got married she was dating the guitarist for no doubt Tony Kanal,and they dated for something like nine years.

Well I pray there is hope... My boyfriend and I have been together for over 4 years and honestly things couldnt get better. I know how you feel though- its what helps me put a lot of work into my relationship .
