It's so beautiful. I'm really one of those people incapable of crying but this has moved me. I loved the selection of scenes and the lyrics just in time. And Puck singing this to Kurt... woah u.u
That means a lot to me, thank you so much. Yeah I thought the lyrics are very applicable to Kurt and what he's been through so I had to make sure that everything fits. I'm too much of a perfectionist when it comes to these things :P That's seriously one of my Glee-wishes though. I was so sad when Schue sang it because then the chance of Puck singing it went from 0.0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001 down to just 0. :(
Oh, you tell me :( It's one of my favorite songs and I wanted one of my favorite characters to sing it. When I heard they were singing it on Glee I just said: "please don't ruin it, please at least make it a group number". And then Shue sang it u.u
But there's always talented people like you, making our dreams come true! :) My Glee heart would be smashed if it weren't for the puckurt fandom n.n
And now that I'm here I'll just go watch the video once more. And, you know, not sob at all, at all...
Urgh I know right? I would have loved it for Puck to sing Fix You but I wouldn't have minded as much if it were Kurt or Finn, but no it had to be Schue. -.-
Ohmygod, stop it. That's way too nice. I'm just an unhealthily-dedicated shipper :P
This is going to sound like a weird comment, but you know what I loved more than anything? The instrumental section of the song. I've seen too many people who can match scenes up well with lyrics but fall apart when there aren't words to go by, so I always get nervous when I know a song has a significant instrumental section. But I got to it on this video and it was GREAT! I loved your choice of clips and the way it progressed through their growing relationship, and I love how you didn't skip through the scenes too fast but also didn't linger (people can get lazy during those sections too and it's kind of frustrating I think). I have high standards for fanvideos, dunno why, but you have met them!
P.S. I love the stage=home metaphor. Gorgeous. And Puck standing up at the end to clap for Kurt! <3
It doesn't sound weird at all, it sounds like a huge compliment! Thank you. I was actually kind of worried about the instrumental parts. At first I thought about un-muting the dialogues to compensate the lack of lyrics but then I decided against it. I feel like leaving it bare like that with just the music and the scenes is more effective. Sometimes you don't need words to say things right? :) Lol the longest clip in that video was probably 10 seconds and it felt like a life time. I prefer shorter clips, especially because I tried to make them fit with the lyrics. I ended up with a huge number of tiny clips and it was frustrating as hell but I'm glad it turned out fine.
I'm glad you do, I feel like in the future Kurt might choose to pursue a career other than theatre or music (say fashion editor or designer) but the stage will always be home to him, especially at this age.
The "get what you want, but not what you need", "lose something you can't replace", "love someone and it goes to waste", BEST parts. Ugh, darling, you are just so perfect. Not only was this inspirational for writing but for just, unf, everything. You're perfect, this video is perfect. You timed everything so magnificently, so so so so perfectly. I can't say perfect enough, can I? xD
Like others have said, the "home" being "stage" is amazing flawless spectacular and every other synonym, I can't even.
You captured Kurt's journey thus far and managed to throw Puck's own journey in as well. Ugh, if someone comes in the night to kidnap you, don't fear, it's just me.
Holy shit, thank you so much<3 I've loved this song for so long but then one day it just suddenly occurred to me how perfect the lyrics were for what Kurt's been through. I didn't even have to make anything up, everything fit perfectly. Oh my god, cropping clips so they fit with the lyrics is painful. Painful, I tell you. Sometimes the scenes on the show are too short compared to the lyrics and I had to physically stop myself from pulling my hair out quite a few times.
Eeep, I'm glad you approve of the metaphor. I just think Kurt beings up there. He's so at ease on stage, it's always breath-taking.
Thank you again, and it won't be kidnap if I go willingly :))
