1. i don't even really know if i care about LCD Soundsystem or not (therefore, i guess i don't), but i've been kind of obsessed with this quote from the main guy that i read in rolling stone a couple issues back:

I was a very good engineer -- I could take your guitar, take it apart and put it back together like a rifle in the rain and then play it ( Read more... )

Whoa, I've still never seen It Might Get Loud and thus missed out on that bit with Jack White. That's fantastic.

Also, IS MICHAEL CUDLITZ A REAL PERSON? I'm starting to doubt it. He and James Franco should just start a Better Than Most People club. And then they can make some non-narrative films together about sexuality and have Cudlitz build all the sets.

Hitlist posts are so handy!

What's funny is you and gigantic are right next to each other on my feed today, so I could just pretend you're one person and read the two posts together!

Randomly, I listened to an interview with LCD Soundsystem on NPR not that long ago, and that dude is kind of amazing. Just...idk, his brain is weird and circuitous in the same way his music is, and it's kind of cool.

If you follow me on Twitter it is not exactly a secret that I LOVE JAY-Z, and I'm in the process of putting together my July Real Life Rock Top Ten for my music blog, and that RS article is TOTALLY ON MY LIST. I thought it was so fascinating. I would definitely read his autobiography, though I think he's serious about never publishing it.

Er, this is appropos of nothing, but you should read this fic and its prequel linked in the header because they're ADORABLE and I think you will like them.

It really was amazing, and I'm still trying to figure out how to write about it even though I read it like a month ago.

You don't need to care about Ray and Walt, trust me! I realize they are definitely not the OTP or whatever, but those stories are just really really cute. And Brad in them is hilarious.
