It's been weeks since the accident
and we have been able to isolate the cause.
It sickens us now, how simple it would have been to save the lives of hundreds.
It's couldn't have been that simple, and it most definitely could not have been avoided.
Of that we are sure.
Even so; reasons, excuses, and lies fill my head everyday
yet none satisfy my need for redemption.
The new head of Global Dynamics has seen to it that the problem will never happen again,
but it's of little comfort to me now.
The only comfort I find is in the community, in those who still stand.
In our new world, our brave new world. It's been tough but the spirit of the community here in Eureka is strong, as it always has been and always will be.
