For those who don't know me, my name is Rachel Dawes. I'm a Wanderer, a lawyer from a city called Gotham. I've lived and worked at the Conrad for the greater part of my time here. I'm also not the kind of person to sit around while the city is falling apart when we can make things happen instead--or in this case, keep them from happening again.

Here's the thing. What happened a few days ago is terrible and senseless. I'm disappointed in people that would respond to our presence, to anything, with prejudice and violence. They should be brought to justice. I believe in ideals but I'm also realistic. Anti-wanderer sentiment will not simply go away if we ignore it. This is a sign of greater things at work. It happened with Flagg, and it could happen again with whoever was responsible for the bombings.

I held our first supernatural trial not too long ago. While that was a great step in the right direction, it's not enough. We can't stop there. We also cannot give into fear tactics. Silence gives others the wrongful assumption that what they have done is okay and they've achieved their goal.

It gives them incentive to do it again.

There is strength in numbers. Regardless of our differences or where we come from, we need to strengthen our community. The hotel could use all the help it can get, however small you feel the assistance may be. The choice is yours.

Should anyone feel similarly, contact me here or find me at the Conrad.

We'll talk.
