A Man and His Lady

Fandom: Grease
Rating: PG-13
Pairings: Marty/Vince
Comments: So this kinda popped up at me while I had Grease as background noise. So, I didn't really focus on the details. However, Vince's advances on Marty really interested me, and I wanted to see more of their night (well, not REALLY, seeing as what I imagine their night to be isn't really appropriate, ahah). This is going to be part of a two-shot. A before and after, really. But don't really expect much out of me. I'm not in the Grease fandom, nor have I focused while watching it since I was in elementary school. Oh well.

Summary: During that dance.

Marty Maraschino was floored. She knew she was sometimes rather pretty. Hell, she knew that at times, she was a hell of a woman. But never, never ever, would it have occurred to her that someone as... famous, and with high-standards, would consider her, in his own words, "a knock-out". Just that compliment would have satisfied her.

Then... Then this gorgeous, undeniably perfect man takes it a step further. He treated her like a lady. In fact, he treated her as the worthiest lady alive. Or at least at the dance. She knew not to think too much into it. But oh, wouldn't it be wonderful if he would love her? If he would be her man, and she'd be his girl? She blushed at the thought of it, which he had noticed out of the corner of his eye.

"Hey doll, why so shy?" He flashed a smile, to which her knees buckled at.

"Well... Vince," she quickly added. Then, "Shouldn't you be out and about right now? Watching the dancers? You know... instead of being with me..."

He let out a small laugh. "Don't sweat it, I already ended the show when the competition ended. It's only the dance that isn't over."

"Oh." She looked down, feeling a bit foolish.

Vince Fontaine licked his lips and paused before he had said, "Baby doll, you wanna get out of this joint?" He looked at her a little reluctantly, but lightened up as he saw her face break out in a grin.

"Do I ever!" is all she had to say before they walked out.
