The whole first month or so is really just a big culture shock, but the first day is incomparable. I know it was a sudden shock to be thrown into an emergency c-section, but I wish one of us had known and could have come down with you! The good thing is Robin is now home and before you know it, Joshua will be too. (((hug)))

For me, the transition was so subtle that I didn't notice it happening, but seemed to happen all at once. Somewhere around the six-month mark it dawned on me that I had gone from the unshakable awareness that "the change" hadn't really "hit me fully" yet to the utter conviction that my life had never been any different, that Jamie had always been here. Its a little bit like the moment you realize someone is your Best Friend...they're so much a part of you that you've never really been without them, you just didn't recognize them at first because you weren't really complete yourself.:)

Keeping you guys in our thoughts.
