To respond to your query, I hadn't backed up my laptop, because I don't really have the money to blow on an external hard-drive. I'm more focused on paying for college tuition and rent and so on. Of course, in retrospect it would have been a smart move.
Thankfully, I'm done all my midterms until post-reading week, and my notes from this year can be easily replaced. My work from grades two through twelve will not be as easily regenerated, but shit happens. I'm going to miss that Extended Essay, though.
