What's your take on the strange new powers and such that Superman uses on Zod and company at the end of Superman 2?

I shamefacedly admit, I don't think I've ever seen the second movie all the way through, so I don't recall that specific case.

My general take is that *usually* Superman is best off sticking to the most common powers -- super-senses, heat-vision, flight, strength, super-breath, whatever -- and should generally stay away from the "Oh, hey, he's telekinetic now!" kind of thing, as it's kind of a cheat.

Unless it's some kind of funky 50s story where he, you know, makes a little six-inch clone of himself or something. (shrug)
