Funny in some ways, sad in others.

Around 3:00 this afternoon, a dog started barking. (Or at least that's when I noticed it.) That high-pitched yappy bark small dogs and puppies make. And it did not stop barking until sometime after 9 PM

You want to hear the most frightening thing? In the letter, the owner says leaving the puppy out on the patio was - get this - a "trial and error" attempt at TRAINING! She actually thought abandoning a puppy for an entire day would teach it something positive!

Are they even aware that leaving a six week old puppy outside is only heightening its chances to parvo and distemper? We *never* let our puppies outside until they were at least seven or eight weeks old and made sure they had at least two sets of puppy shots. How inhumane of them.

I think the only thing they're aware of is how to write a long whiny complaint letter.

I think I may have shocked them into listening (for a while) - I have yet to hear the little guy yelping again.
