Wow! You're in store for a real warming trend! :)
I was in Illinois at my parent's house over Christmas. It's fun, adventurous weather when you only have to visit for a couple of weeks.

Yeah, time to get my swimsuit back out! It really is amazing how warm 20 degrees can feel after a few days of this.

I actually like it! I hate the moments when I'm walking the five or six blocks to work in it, and I hate waiting for the bus in it, but the intensity of it can be pretty appealing.

We're freezing down here in Florida too, feeling slightly guilty that most of the rest of the country is EVEN COLDER.

A lot of the time, colder is even higher than that! But there's a low of 17˚ on Friday, which just might be a real excuse to complain (although not nearly as bad as your WINDCHILL -- I send many hugs).
