I was on the Metro this evening when I noticed a poster for the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer.   It is a marathon and half (39 mile) walk over a two-day weekend (May 5-6 in Washington, D.C.)  I've heard about this fundraiser but haven't lived in a city that hosted one of these walks.  It looks like a great way to not only get in shape but to help ( Read more... )

Nicole, the Breast Cancer walks are dear to my heart too. I've known mostly survivors, but one who didn't. I'm all about fund-raising for the boob. I'll send you a check to support you (although it might not be very much :o( - but I'll definitely send you what I can). I'm prepping a package to you that should be there the first week of Feb anyway and I'll throw that in :) Who do I write the check out to? You or to the Avon Walk?

You are talking crazy. I do not need any sort of package! You are too sweet!! *love*

I'm still deciding whether to do it, but I'll let you know if I do. I'm worried that I won't be able to raise enough money.

Well I have to! I pretend that all of you love birthdays as much as I do - and besides, I found the perfect bday prezzie for you. So, I can't not send it. LOL!

And I'll be looking out for your decision about the Walk for the Boob :)

I would be there in a heart beat if I could, but if you do decide to do it expect a donation from me- I will see what I can raise around here for you too.

My grandmother had breast cancer twice while she was in her thrities, and my mom has had a few lumps removed. It is a scary thing and anything we can do to get rid of it I am for.

Oh wow. You never cease to amaze me. Your willingness to help me raise money is so sweet!

I'll let you know when I decide. The only thing holding me back is the idea of raising that much money.
