Perfect places to live.

This was on a book meme that I saw, but I don't feel like doing it, and I really was only interested in the answers to the one question, anyway. I've slightly modified it ( Read more... )

Here I was, thinking I'd be the only one who knew what I was talking about with that. I don't think I've met anyone before who's read the Mrs Piggle-Wiggle books, unless I've forced them to read them.

No, I loved them. My dad read my brother and I so many of those books when we were younger. I still read them every now and then if I want a minimum-angst, happy-ending, low-concentration-required kind of read.

I read them at least a few times a year. I read Mrs Piggle-Wiggle's Magic so many times when I was little that the book has completely fallen apart. It's the only book I own that that happened to. I like to re-read them, especially that one, when I'm feeling down.

I read a funny blog entry a bit ago, where the girl was talking about how she liked to apply "The Mrs Piggle-Wiggle Method" to her life. If she did not want to clean her room, she did not, and assumed that it would eventually get so bad that she would be cured. If she wanted to eat nothing but chocolate, she would, assuming that she would get sick of it and yearn for well-balanced meals.

Man, now I want to move into Anne of Green Gables, too. I would not be able to settle for being a background character, though, because I would want to be Anne's new second best friend.

I only read Anne of Green Gables this past year. I don't know why, since I've owned it since I was little. I was so mad at myself when I realised what I'd been missing out on all these years.

I want to be a Darling child because I want Mrs Darling to be my mummy, I want to go to Neverland, and I want to live with the Lost Boys. In addition to loving the story so much I also like Victorian times and fashions and want to wear 60 layers of wool underthings.

I just want my surname to be Darling! I think that would be great all on its own. Although I suppose it would come with some hardcore mockery in school.

Apparently, Dario Argento, the director of Suspiria and other great horror films, is downloading the Gothic Archies from me right now on Soulseek. I am feeling pretty honoured, and who knew he was a fan?

Cassie said a Darling, so I'm going to pick something different and say: George from The Famous Five. She was definately the greatest character. Spending my hols with my cousins/BFFs and going on adventures and catching smugglers. *_* NO, WAIT, I WANT TO GO TO MALORY TOWERS AND HAVE MIDNIGHT FEASTS. Or, or, one of the children who climbs The Faraway Tree. Anything from Blyton's books, actually, because now I can't stop thinking of ones that I'd love to be in. Famous Five first, though. Seriously. when I was little I used to wish that I could be one of them. One of my friends was telling me that when her and her brother were younger, they tried to make a raft and float down a river, singing the Famous Five theme song. I used to make up secret clubs all the time. :(

I can't stop watching your icon.

I used to want to live in Narnia, but I would be stupid atheist Susan who got kicked out. Or else I wouldn't get to go at all. But if I were in Narnia, I would want to be Puddleglum.

I didn't even think of Narnia! Omg. [-o< I was thinking, like, Nancy Drew etc. I would love to be Trixie Belden - the country girl with a head for mysteries. I was going to say someone from Hobb, but their lives are too damn hard.

I would die in Hobb. Unless perhaps I was a scullery maid who never did anything, but then I wouldn't really get to observe all the exciting things that were going on. I wouldn't mind being a random Ravenclaw at Hogwarts. Then I could use magic and fly a broomstick, but without being threatened constantly by Voldemort.

I have The Box Car Children on my wish list, currently, so I don't see how this is embarrassing! I like how everyone's answering with children's books. I think I set the mood.
