I watched The Social Network last night with my older bother and his wife. I went to bed wondering about all the Oscars it went home with and dreamed that instead of winning best picture, a movie called "All My Rats" won and someone bombed the Oscars. But that is beside the point ( Read more... )

It actually only won Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Score and Best Editing!

Also, it was an awful movie! I turned it off after the first 20 minutes.

I'm not sure if you have heard of the Bechdel Test or not but it's a test for movies: http://bechdeltest.com/

The Bechdel Test
1. It has to have at least two women in it
2. Who talk to each other
3. About something besides a man

The movie didn't pass. Now this test is for a lot of movies and while it doesn't prove them good or non-sexist, it's there. Just letting you know, which you might already but I was relieved when I learned that this test actually existed.
