A possible header/main nav solution...

I have been playing with your layout in my practice journal (origami_vagina) and I think I may have come up with something. I did this using the 'sidebar layout with a header image' and the 'reducing space in nav box' codes, then piggybacked everything over to FRIENDS and CALENDAR_HEAD/WEBSITE.

The most recent post in origami_vagina contains the overrides (went over the character allotment for this comment).

The white 'table' can be moved up or down, just a matter of a little image manipulation, but I cannot make it break to have a grey field for the subjects or comments... without the white, the tables are completely transparent.

the header in the navigation menu worked perfectly, thanks so very very much. just one last thing. there's a thick white border around the header, and i'm not sure why. i changed all the background colors to the gray-green color, but i don't know if i need to specify background colors inside the table tags or not.

For the white border, reduce your table width to 631px, it ought to get rid of it.
