Note my friend in the lower right for size reference. We had a super outbreak of tornadoes about a month ago, and many were worried the tree had been toppled [it's roughly 500yrs old]. I'd planned on breaking rules and entering the wilderness area which is still closed because of storm damage to see it, but finally got word yesterday that the tree was spared.

It was a much needed break, and now that classes are out of the way for now, I plan on posting more often than once every three months :)
