A true White Christmas!
2.25" and still snowing! Took 30 years but I finally got a White Christmas, the first such for most of this area/region. Photos to come! I'm going back outside! -
The week in preview
~They're saving the Birdman arborglyph next week. I've been inviting to tag along for the event as well. The photos and video I sent helped the forest service see the urgency that was needed here. It's good to know I played at least some small role in getting it preserved ( Read more... ) -
Birdman Falls Trip Report, 12/11/10
There is something to be said for staying off trail. We could have taken the easy way in, using one of the horse trails to get close and then just fording Brushy Creek on a fallen tree. The infamous Birdman Tree, 12/11/10
Possibly one of the last times it'll be photographed in it's natural environment. Since it's dying, a section with the arborglyph is being removed and preserved.
