She had the feeling that after having to take care of himself for so many years, Kurt could use a day of being taken care of while he felt so bad.

I just feel like Kurt wouldn't know how to accept help from someone else and Carole would sort of have to ease him into it, get him used to having someone to take care of him. Not that Burt DIDN'T take care of him, but moms just do it in a totally different way.

They like sex, okay? Hahah. I love Carole and I wish the show would stop ignoring that fact that Kurt's mom died and now he's got Carole, and I understand that there are other storylines, but still. That one is sort of like a big deal.
