Today I did 85 lb bench presses and I actually got my arm to bend attempting pullups. Even though the elbow did not want to go past 120 degrees, it is still great progress. When I first started attempting these, it was the triceps, then the lats, then the abdomen that had issues with the movement. Onward to biceps.
I was in the free weight section feeling smug when a guy (with the help of a spotter) busted out chest presses with 85 lbs in each hand. He started beaming ear-to-ear and I congratulated him on his new personal best and cracked a joke about mine being half that. That's right, I totally interacted with another human in the gym.
1x10 95 lb squat, 2x9 105 lb squat
3x5 85 lb benchpress
2 not-a-pullups
4x2 120 lb isolateral pull downs
2x10 30 lb rows
2x10 22.5 lb tricep extensions
2x(4-10) 22.5 bicep curls
Weight holding steady at 157 despite the weekend of icecream and beer. It's, uh, therapeutic.
Running sucks, especially when your allergies hate you. Looking forward to practice tonight.
