The breathing exercises are helping. I just finished a running circuit that I've been failing to finish or improve upon for months now. I not only completed all of the parts but arrived home breathing normally and feeling really, really great. My abs are sore from the breathing technique, but I totally did it!

Glad to hear it's helping! That must be a great feeling. What are the breathing exercises like?

There was an article on pubmed that talked about vocal cord disfunction and athletes. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC164364/... )

That sounds like the same breathing exercises I was given as a kid, to help deal with my asthma and improve my lung capacity. The same doc prescribed swimming, the swim coach is the one who added weight to the breathing exercises (lying on my back with books on my tummy while I breathed).

Then I was given the same breathing exercises by the awesome yogi who taught me kundalini yoga.

Hmm. All these awesome, knowledgable people giving me the same basic exercises, you'd think I'd keep doing'em, right?

Er. Riiight. There's something I'll be adding into my wakeup routine going forward!
