So, at first, I thought it was just me. But then I went online and let a ton of other reader-reviews and realized that I most definitely was *not* the only one. In fact, customer reviews at amazon.com seem pretty straightforward, from what I understand.
I was not a fan of Breaking Dawn.

First things first: Amen. I am so glad that someone else agreed with me on how BD turned out. There were a lot of things about the series I didn't like. I'm not really one for romance, and Twilight was sort of... well... a guilty pleasure, with the only bearable characters being Jacob, Jasper, and then Seth. They're the ones that got me through BD. But still, I actually did like the series, so I was excited when August 2 rolled around.
I... ugh. I was thoroughly disappointed in Stephanie Meyer with this book. She sort of pulled a Deathly Hallows and went "OH JESUS CHRIST I HAVE SO MUCH SHIT TO PUT IN THIS BOOK I HOPE MY READERS DON'T MIND DROWNING IN IT!" Which, by the way, I did, because she managed to completely avoid all the reasons anyone was even remotely interested in the fourth book. Bella's becoming a vampire! I was really excited for that... I wanted to see if she would have a power, how that would manifest, and I really, really wanted to see her journey through the blood lust. But, uh ( ... )

^^ Yeah, that's just about how I feel about it, too.
Jasper's one of my favorite characters (let's be honest--that scene where Bella finally realizes how RAWR he is, with all his vampire induced scars--that was hot.) ....too bad he disappeared for the next 400 pages.
*growl*
And Alice was one of my favorite characters. I don't know if I can't forgive Stephenie for taking away Alice *AND* Jasper. And you know, everyone else in that book, who suddenly turned OOC.
Except for maybe Jacob, who was awesome smex in every scene.
But eww...Nessie? Stab me, I've already run into a few Nessie/Jacob fics (and Nessie has all the makings of a Mary Sue herself).
I *am* thankful for the Kate/Garrett, though. That was awesome.
As were all the blonde jokes.

I loved how Jacob and Rosalie fought throughout the book. Rosalie writing "Fido" on to a dog dish was priceless.
Bah, Nessie. If I ever write a Twilight saga fanfic, I am going to simply ignore her. It will be my right as a belligerent fangirl.
Meh. That book was a waste of money.

and oh man, don't even get me *started* on the Nessie thing.
