Slow-Learner and Dog-Days

Jan 18, 2011 22:32

So, I'm in PS CS3 and: HOLY BRIE-BAKED CRACKER-SMACKERS! I just figured out that yes, you can color and fill-in shapes with the pen-tool.

Took me forever to figure that out. Slow-learner, I am.

The scanner is still broke (going to get a new one!) so soon I'll post up (or even snail-mail em) the sketches Squid.

Anyway, here is the meat of today's journal:

My mother took me to see one of the two local animal-shelters. The one we went to was the Pueblo Animal Services. It is a beautiful shelter. I mean, BEAUTIFUL. It is clean, the animals all have kennels or cages where at least part of the temporary home abuts the long windows, and everything is bright with sunlight. The whole effect made it a very inviting and friendly place.

We looked at the dogs. Unfortunately, and I mean no disrespect to anyone, but there were a lot of Pit Bulls and Pit Bull mixes. My parents just are not prepared for training a Pibble even a puppy. Lots of Labs and oh my, I fell in love with this huge puppy. He was a Great Pyrenees mix with black-spots of his face. 11 months old and male but he was just a stray and could not be adopted until the 22nd/his owner doesn't pick him up. Shame. Anyway, if we do get a dog we want a female. We do not want to deal with urinary-tract infections. Also, we need to think about the cats first too. I'm leaning towards a small-ish dog because well... big dogs and I don't do well.

We're still settling so I don't know... we'll see. And if a dog 'speaks' to us then we'll adopt.
