I am going to expose myself as an aging geek. Though it was extremely primitive and nearly pointless, I really liked Pitfall for the Atari when I was eight years old. My parents never allowed me to have my own video games, feeling that they were going to rot my brain, so I would play at an older friend's house. :)
Actually, I was entranced by it. I kept imagining that there was some magical treasure or exciting climax at the end of all of that pixelated vine swinging, ladder climbing, and scorpion jumping on a stark, empty brown and green background. :P
