Very good chapter, SW! I can't believe I'm actually going to say I feel sorry for Lucius Malfoy! I don't like his father, or anyone else in the house, for that matter.
I'm curious to know what really happened to his mother. Is she really dead, or did she really run away with another man. And why didn't she take Lucius with her if she did run away. No doubt he might've turned out a heckuva lot better if he lived with her and not his old man. Ugh! What a slimo! And now I can see why the Malfoys, Goyles and Crabbes all sort of hang out together, with a Malfoy as the leader. At least Gramps Goyle shows a bit more brain than his descendants.
And poor Janny Causaubon! Victim of the Imperius Curse (knew it was one of the really bad curses, but kept thinking Crucio - isn't that one? I really ought to read the books again)!
Now, will we have more of Barbason and Novich coming soon? And what about that dodgy, hooded fellow that sent Jenny Causaubon to her water grave??

Thanks! (squee). I'm trying to keep it real and not make him poor and pathetic, but I wanted to try and give some reason for why he's such a git in later life. My idea was that somewhere along the line, everyone has a choice as to which way to go, and so was there a moment in his life where things could've been different? If so, what was it that stopped that happening. Hopefully I can do that.
