what the?

Sep 25, 2008 12:28

I made a new post.

I started writing it on Sunday, so that's where it's showing up on flists, apparently, despite my updating the date before posting. Blegh.

Blogger's looking pretty nice about now...

I probably should have checked the out of order box.

In other news, I woke up this morning sick. Double-blegh.

It shouldn't matter what the actual date of the post is--it should appear on people's friends list by server date time, not date of post. So if you posted it just now, it would appear on my friends list today, but with the Sunday date (or whatever you changed it to). If it's not showing up on people's friends list, then you likely turned on the Date Out of Order option. This FAQ also has more info about why entries may not be appearing where they should.

I think you read it backwards. ^_^

The server date is Sunday, or whenever I first saved it as private as a poor man's "save as draft". I should have checked the out of order box, I think.

not as bad as all that! kuroshii September 25 2008, 16:43:03 UTC
it only went back a page, still well within yesterday's posts and certainly nowhere near sunday's.

please stay on LJ!

Well, that kind of sucks. If you do go Blogger, I have a permanent LJ account so syndicating you shouldn't be a problem.

As he mentions in the post linked to, if he does leave he'll ask someone to set up a feed here so we can still read it on LJ.

Webgoblin, I'm glad that I could bring the problem to your attention(sort of), although I'll be sad if it turns out to be the catalyst for you leaving...

I've got myself on my Friends list and always check after I've made a post to see that it shows up properly. If it's a post that I started earlier that does that, I just copy and paste it into a "new" post.
