To answer your question, i still read LiveJournal. i don't post much to anything other than Twitter, but i read LJ more than i read FB .

i'm not familiar with that song so i can't relate. But then most of what i listen to, music-wise, is tribal bellydance music :-)

i haven't attended readings or panels in so long i haven't witnessed such, ah, situations, heh. Love Connie Willis' take on it though, makes a lot of sense.

Hey you know of anyone who would be interested in training as a second for me for Art Show? Just pondering :-)

What am I 'posed to do when the club lights come on?

GO HOME.

OMG I laughed so hard when I got to this.

Thank you for your lyrical interpretations, they were well worth reading. I would like to see more. :P

P.S. Speaking of lyrics, you might enjoy this: http://foresthouse.tumblr.com/post/4471926131/carnivaloftherandom-minim-calibre

What I was told I would be doing is not what they want me to do.

i have had this happen to me myself, so i can relate. hurrah for your getting out in reasonably short order! i had just moved halfway across the country to take said position, and they waited six months to pull the bait-and-switch, so it took me...um...a bit longer.
