Paranoia

Today I had a stint at experiencing the Jungian principle of synchronicity. It's spookier than the way they write about it in books and Pete Chadwick is really starting to freak me out now.

But perhaps it's just a coincidence. Of course, I don't really believe that.

What principle is that?

You know, the one where you have a dream or something, and when you wake up people act as if they know about what happened in the dream or whatever happened in the dream is already true. The two events don't cause each other, they just coincide in an uncanny kind of way. If it happens often enough people start going mad, like Pete did.

I've never heard of that actually. Interesting.

So what actually happened to you then?

Well, I had this really weird dream that I was having my individual differences exam, which is on the 29th. I dreamt that we were in the exam, and I was halfway through writing the asnwer to the last question, and suddenly they said "time's up" and someone grabbed my paper and handed it to the tutor. And I was like "No! All that studying and now I couldn't write the answer in time!"

So the next day, in real life, I was in an individual differences lecture, and our teacher was saying something like "Happy new year, I hope you all had a good Christmas break and I hope all your dreams come true..." That's when I started to freak out.
