It's good to hear from you again, you've been MIA for a while, and I was starting to get worried.

I think you're absolutely right about everything you wrote here. It's important to use the time we do have, because you just never know.

How have you used your time lately?

Gee Apes, I'd never have guessed you would be worrying about me next to all the crap you have to cope with in your own life (which I do read). I think that's really nice of you and I'm actually pleasantly surprised. I guess it's true that sometimes we aren't aware of just how much we can be influenced by each other.

I know my writing looks like some great intellectual revelation, but I write more out of self-guilt than anything else. Sometimes I feel like there's so much more I could have squeezed into 20 odd years, other times, it seems as though I've done a lot more than the average person. It's impossible to know what's real - it's so difficult to compare ourselves with others. I know it's how it feels to me that matters the most, and when it comes to that, I feel totally blank. It's as if I'm starving for some magnum opus to come along and give ultimate meaning to my life. But right now it's just university, dissertation, study, exams, assignments.

It's funny how you seem to suggesting that you kinda feel like you're in a rut, whereas to me, you being at uni and doing all that, it makes me jealous, because it means that you're taking charge in your own life, writing your destiny and stuff. I'm not able to do that right now, which upsets me a fair bit.

The meaning of your life will come to you when you're ready to hear it. Well that's what I think anyway :)

And of course I would worry, you went from writing semi-regularly to dropping off the face of the planet... and we all know what the twins are like with forgetting or being too busy to actually write snail mail, so there was no other way for me to find out if anything was wrong.
