Over these past months, I've been focussing all of my fundraising energies on the "harder walk" that I have coming up. It's "harder" because it's a longer walk (nearly 40 miles) and has a set "minimum" fundraising amount.
However, in doing this, I've (unfortunately) managed to nearly completely ignore another event. As some (but certainly not all) of you know, Team Wench is walking in the Annapolis MS Walk on April 17th, and I'm walking right there with them. The team has decided to walk in garb this year, both to raise spirits(*) and to show off our identity as a team.
In honor of this walk and in order to get people who have already dipped into their (bare) cupboards to donate, I'm going to offer something a little different... I'm going to go back to my "doing stupid stuff for charity" that I made so (in)famous back in 2002 with my "hula" for the OotD walk.
Details are simple. If you, the fine folks of LJ-land (and anyone else you manage to coerce to help you) click on my fundraising link and manage to raise $250 in my name, I'll do the MS Walk in my kilt.
All donations must be received by 12 noon EST on the day BEFORE the walk (i.e. Saturday 4/16 @ 1200 EST) to qualify. While non-electronic donations are always appreciated, they don't count towards this total unless you get them in and the NMSS credits them to my account by my deadline.
