[walking] Rain, rain, go the f*** away!

Thirty-seven days until the Avon Walk.

Because of my insane schedule over the next month-plus, I was counting on this coming (Easter) weekend to get to do my "back-to-back" training walk. The actual event is 26.2 miles on Saturday and 13.1 more on Sunday. I was hoping to do 20+ this Saturday and 10+ more this Sunday. Now that the forecast is in for the weekend (fritzingfrackingrainingfratzin), it looks like I get to do "day two" in the rain. I can't even do "day two" in Arundel Mills since it's Easter Sunday and the mall itself is closed (Yeah, I ran into the same thing last year and there are still no signs up!)

*sigh* Anyone know of another location in the greater DC area that's going to be open on Sunday and has a quasi-sheltered place to walk of AT LEAST one non-repetative mile? Yes, I know I could walk 500 laps around my living room... but it's really not the same thing.

If not, I guess I'll just grin & bear it and deal with the rain... but I really don't want to get sick again.

*grumble*
