SO. What to say.

There exists this truly amazing, mindblowing Canada/America fic out there on the kinkmeme. It's called "General Relativity," and in it, Alfred is Mr. Jones, a physics professor, and Matthew is an English major who falls totally in love with him, and there are stars, and the cosmos, and pudding cups, and movie-dates-that-are-not- ( Read more... )

recs, respect where respect is due, !fic, canada/america

and I shouldn't wonder if you could still explain quantum time to me in bed while I sucked you off.

BEST part ever! it would be so good if it did end cleanly, but I still want a bit of angst in the original. lol

... LOL, watch me use my role playing livejournal so that NO ONE KNOWS WHO I AM. XD XD;;; Not that I'm very anon, anyway. God, I fail at it.

Also, uh, this is me, the author of General Relativity. I love you.

First off, I don't mind at all that you wrote a ficlet for it. You didn't even have to rec the fic, though I appreciate the link; I'm just happy you're enjoying it enough that you want to write in the universe. ♥ I was touched and honored and OMG IT IS SO GOOD. T_T aldsjlsk.

Seriously, your writing is absolutely gorgeous and you know the characters so, so very well. Your verbiage... *happy sigh* I love it. Absolutely lovely and it's always awesome to read something so well-written. This bit here, particularly:

Maybe he'd rake the hand that wasn't holding the phone through his hair, leave it in mussed, chaotic disarray. Possibly, he'd be holding his breath ( ... )

I shouldn't want to know what waking up next to you on a rainy Saturday morning would be like, and I shouldn't wonder if you could still explain quantum time to me in bed while I sucked you off.
I love this sentence more than words can describe. Seriously. The first part I just melted at, because the mental image is so pretty.
And the second part almost spawned a fanfic of a fanfic, because that needs to happen at some point in their future. That desperately needs to happen.

*Possibly inspired to write her own GR fanfiction now.*

Oh, I know! This totally happens in the future. I can see Matthew daring him to do it. :D And Alfred would just... fail spectacularly. It probably goes something like this:

"Okay, let's see, quantum mechanics. Uh, Max Planck made the quantum hypothesis in 1900. Quantum theory, for our purposes, pretty much involves-particles-ah, oh God, do that again..."

"You mean this?"

"Yes. Oh-mm."

"So. About particles..."

"Um-hah-well, the Heisenberg uncertainty principle tells us the more you know about, uh, one property of a-ohMatthewdon'tstop-a particle, the less you know about...another...."

"...I think I win."

Pfft, thank you, Wikipedia. /headdesk I have... little to no actual knowledge of quantum mechanics, lmao.

Thank you~

I seriously almost wrote an entire fic that consisted of Matthew's blowjob fantasy involving Mr. Jones in a sunny lecture hall, but I mean. I restrained myself.
