i just need to start off by saying that order of the pheonix is, by far, my favourite book in the harry potter series
and i know that stuff needs to be cut out of a 900 page book when it's being made into a 218 minute movie
but...
first off, i feel like someone who hasn't read the book would be confused. i went with janna, who hasn't read the books

The more I think about it, the more I'm put off by the AK and Sirius. Because it has too much um, direction? When it's a killing curse rather than something that is more of an accident. It's more tragic, more surprising if he just falls into it instead of like, dying and getting sucked backwards? I suppose, if they've built up Avada Kedavra throughout the movies they ought to use it on the big deaths, but ehh.
The movie just didn't work for me :(

After Sirius fell through the veil and Lupin grabbed a hold of Harry- it broke my heart. I could have cried if I wasn't in a packed cinema.
Tonks & Lupin forever.

have you seen/heard of the movie Driving LEssons? It has both Rupert Grint (Ron) and Julie Roberts (Molly) in it, and I loved it.

But, yeah, one reason why I don't go back and re-read the books before I see the movie is because I'll notice more things that were wrong or got left out, and I really think that with this book/movie I wouldn't have enjoyed it if I'd read the book ANY time recently. Apparently a lot of people think that OotP got "raped" in its movie translation.
And I liked Fred and George's leaving scene A LOT. Pretty much my favorite part.
But I thought the movie was totally bitch-ass awesome and I plan on seeing it a million trillion times. My favorite of the Potter movies so far.
