I love Clint/Darcy hard core. They never even had screen time together! Heck, he only had a cameo. Nevertheless, they work in fanfic. Which just goes to show that fic writers are awesome.

And... That's all I have to say at the moment.

I have SO much sympathy for Loki. At the beginning he's totally trying to be the Good Little Turtle and do what Dad says (and also because HE can see why getting into a fight with the Frost giants would be a BAD THING even if Thor can't because he's all "no I want to be manly and HIT things") so Loki tries to be a good brother and go along in a "I'll help if only to stop you from getting your ass completely kicked" sorta way.

So yes, he starts out completely decent and makes a couple bad choices and it all goes horribly wrong for the guy.

My best friend, who LOVES complex villians, just went ga-ga over it. She loved it.

But now we're both slightly afraid they're going to make Loki all "Wha ha ha" in the Avengers and he's going to lose that complexity.

I have scene the tag 'Odin's A+ Parenting' over on AO3, and . . yeah. Pretty much.

Exactly.

Why does nobody write Steve/Natasha? Because that would be awesome.

SO AWESOME.

Personally, though, I am waiting with bated breath for Pepper/Steve fic to exist, because Pepper is awesome and Steve would treat her like a goddess and oh my god they would be beautiful together.

Late commenter here, but I stumbled across this entry of yours in search of Steve/Natasha fic! I was pretty much an immediate fan of the pairing after seeing the movie and I was surprised to find how little seems to be out there for them. Those two together just scream awesome complexity, perfect for fic.

Like you, I'm kind of indifferent Clint/Natasha. I love both characters, but as a pairing they don't interest me much.

Clint/Darcy intrigues me, and I get what you mean about Loki/Darcy being easy to make into a farce - they're a pairing I've just come around to suddenly and now kinda want to explore the possibilities, but it takes a certain kind of fic. I must admit, after seeing the Thor movie, I was too into Loki/Sif to really contemplate Loki/Darcy for a long time.

Oh, and sooooo agree with you on Odin. Father of the year he's not. :) That was the only issue I had with Thor - I just couldn't buy Odin as the great father Thor called him at the end of the movie. Great king, maybe. Father, NO. To either of his sons.
