. . . so have I mentioned that Bruce/Natasha has eaten my brain? I'm making icons. There's more fic over at AO3, and more yet in progress.

And, the DVD apparently comes out on September 25th, which is only a little over two months away!   . . . I kinda wonder if that isn't a mistake, it seems SO QUICK, but maybe they want to cash in on the current ( Read more... )

The Avengers is my happy place. I just want to write/read ALL THE FICS.

Neither am I! September actually really feels really close, frankly. I was expecting Christmas.

Christmas seems like it would have made more sense, but if they're trying a new marketing strategy . . I wouldn't be opposed to getting DVDs sooner in general. I think? It would make me happy as an impatient fangirl who wants those deleted scenes and to re-watch over and over without paying over and over to see it in a theatre . . . but on the other hand, fandom always kind of rebounds when the DVD comes out, and I wonder how that's going to play out with the DVD hitting so soon after the theatrical release. I worry about losing that second burst of enthusiasm.

I wouldn't be too concerned... I feel like Avengers fandom (given the multiple movies in one universe + the comics) has a nice pair of legs on her.

You know that thing, in the film, that everyone in fandom has just sorta flat refused to accept as having actually happened?

Um...no? Which thing is that??

September? Awesome!!!

You have seen the movie and/or don't care about being spoiled, right? Just making sure . . .

I've seen it twice. I'm just not sure which part you're talking about. I was just curious.

GLEE. I have a tab open so I can read and actually leave feedback, hopefully later this weekend. I love your take on Natasha so much.

Thank you! . . . so when are you going to write some Avengers fic? :)

Probably never. The thing with big fandoms is that I always feel like I have nothing new to add. And it's essentially a modern setting (with bonus superheroes, aliens, and robots), which is not something I'm terribly comfortable writing in. Alas. I like my obscure to medium fandoms, though...wouldn't know what to do with myself in a big one.

Ah. Oh well - you're good at what you do. :) It's funny, historical settings intimidate me; I'll write little ficlets in them, but nothing involved enough to necessitate research.

.... but what is the thing everyone is refusing to accept?

Oh, unless it's about a certain person dying?

Oh! That! I guess I can understand why everyone is ignoring it. But they really needed something to "avenge." Didn't they?

Sure they did . . but that doesn't have to mean it was REAL. ;)

And... kusanivy July 13 2012, 18:21:23 UTC
... more fic please!

I'm especially interested in a follow-up to Pt 6 because I think that's a really interesting point you brought up and you didn't really give us Bruce's answer ;)

Also it's fun to see Natasha Hulk-whisper ;)

. . I had to go look and see which was part six, LOL. And . . I thought I had sort of given an answer? As much of an answer as Bruce had in that moment, anyway, which wasn't an unequivocal yes, but wasn't quite an unequivocal no anymore, either. I'm not sure I'm up for writing Hulk sex scenes, but I did want to establish the possibility of them happening off-screen, because . . it seemed important for their relationship? Not necessarily that it has to be something they do every weekend, but that it not be the elephant in the room.
