The first novel of Terry Goodkind's "Sword of Truth" series, Wizard's First Rule, has been turned into a 22-episode TV series, starting the first weekend in November. Apparently Goodkind has been deeply involved in the process. Some of the "Sword of Truth" books were pretty lame, but Wizard's First Rule is really one of my all-time favorites ( Read more... )

the 1st few were good, then they devolved into the same thing over and over.

You're right. It really could have ended after book 1, and things would have made total sense. Book 3, for example, was quite forgettable. In fact, I think I have forgotten it.

Still, the last book was good again.

I think the last book is the only one I havent read..or maybe the last 2.

Any series with the bad guys being SCA elitist subelty making celtic like bastards called the Anders gets a thumbs up in my book!
