Fight to the DEATH! [rp with not_a_shadow]

There's a Nexus Gym. Did you know that? Mayday didn't know that, until the day she stumbled upon it after putting in the wrong PINPoints. Ever since, she comes there to train occasionally - the place is usually pretty empty, though decently equipped, and she's stopped wondering why. (Most of the time ( Read more... )

Little does May know that before Enzan became a Robin, he trained pretty hard with swords.

And he's not going to tell her either.

Enzan showed up, foam swords in hand, dressed in his ever present long-sleeve shirt (really ever present. He never goes out in short sleeves, no matter how hot), loose exercise pants, and sneakers. This is a serious fight to the death, and he is fully prepared.

"I could only find foam swords in hot pink or blinding yellow," he explained, holding them out. "Which do you want?"

In retrospect, May is going to realize she probably should've figured out Enzan's sword-proficiency from the moment he suggested their foamed deathmatch.

But that is not going to happen now. Now, May is going to grin like only a cocky, be-Avenger-shirted and be-Avenger-shorted superheroine can. "Are you kidding? Hot pink, of course."

Man, will she be sorry. Enzan tossed her the pink one, and saluted her with his sword before slipping into a defensive, well practiced position.

This is a sign that she is In Trouble.

If only May's spider-sense tingled when she was about to be humiliated. If only.

She does have six years of superheroing under her belt, however, so she's able to scramble into a somewhat defensive position. Alas, she doesn't usually have to get defensive while holding a sword-shaped thing, and it shows.

Enzan had been seriously tempted to show up in his most Isamu-ish duds (to be fair, most of his clothes these days tended to resemble something Isamu would wear, with less holes in them), but judging from the look in May's eyes, he decided to play it safe, and showed up wearing plain slacks and a button-up red shirt.

"I'm going to regret this, aren't I?"

It is for the best Enzan didn't get even to those terrible, terrible urges. Who knows what would have happened if he did. Glaring probably would've been involved. In liberal amounts. Instead, Enzan will get a bemused face for his troubles. Haha, he's like a tinier, tidier, Isamu~

"Of course not! My Dad's a good guy and, for once, I can bring a guy he won't attempt to kill with a deathglare." This would be reassuring if she didn't say it with a grin.

Ding dong~

My, what a one-legged man that is in the doorway.

"I knew you had something planned - "

The advantages of being short means he could duck behind people like May and almost be hidden. This is an advantage he's using now.

Enzan doesn't really have good experiences when it came to parents.

May will give him a Look. She hasn't seen someone this wigged about her parents since, well... since Reilly, really.

"Honestly. He's not going to bite. He's not a real spider, youknow," she mutters to Enzan. But before she can get too deep into teasing, Enzan will find a hand reaching out to him. (The other hand is clutching a cane, of course.)

"Hello. I'm Peter Parker. And you are hopefully not my daughter's boyfriend, because I really would hate to have to send her down to the station?"

"...Dad!"
