I posted this as a comment in beepxbeepxbeep, and I'm basically just posting it here so that I don't lose it.

These are some tl;dr thoughts on my ex-OTP, Remus/Sirius, as compared to my current OTP, Kradam.

I had never thought about the ways Kradam are like Remus and Sirius, but I totally see it now. I mean, in terms of physical type, and also somewhat in the way their personalities differ. Like, the way Remus and Sirius are the same-both wizards, both can turn into animals, both enjoy pulling pranks-do not overlap with Kradam, but the ways they are different from each other-quiet humor vs. flashy and social and charismatic-do.

So, yes, I see it. Very interesting.

Yeah, I didn't really think about it for a long time either, but one day I was rereading an R/S fic and I realized that if I replaced all the names, then it would pretty much still work exactly perfectly. Except maybe in sort of a magical AU way, you know, what with the wizards part of it. And then I started thinking about it, and I was kind of shocked to see all the similarities. I guess I kind of have a type? And it was totally subconscious too.

I think it is really interesting to walk across fandoms and try to understand why some just wiggle their way into one's being and others hold no allure at all. You kind of made my day thinking about Sirius as Adam..by the way thanks for your incredible rec list. You've been my guide through the fabulous world of Kradam. I'd like to friend you!
