I had my bridal portraits done on Tuesday and my photographer has already edited some of the proofs and posted them for me! I have 337 proofs to go through and pick about 10 (!) that I want edited further before the wedding.
I was a little reluctant to have portraits done at all. I'm not big on pictures of myself, normally, and there was no way that I wanted a giant portrait of myself at my reception (which is why people normally have bridals done in VA), but a shoot came with my package and I picked my photographer because of her stunning vintage-style portrait work, so I thought "why not".
I cannot believe what she did. Melody Smith of Twilight Images (Central VA) is phenomenally talented with vintage style lighting in particular, and she works with an incredible vintage hair and makeup artist Liv Lethal. I cannot recommend them enough. I am a totally normal person in real life and they made me feel (and look!) like a model or a movie star.

In other update news we are now 30 days out and counting from our June 12 wedding. Most of the RSVPs are in and I'm working on final DIY projects like all of our signage, our guest book, our favors, and our programs.
We had our final meeting with officiants last night (we're having an interfaith UU/Reform Jewish ceremony) and it went great. I love them both and can't wait to have them up there with us as we are joined in marriage.
I can't believe we have less than a month to go!
