I felt that way last year too. And when you're in college here soon, you'll think of right now as when you were a kid, and want to go back. I know I feel that way. And, most likely, when I'm in the workforce, I'll look back at my time in college as "when I was a kid," no matter how adult I feel right now. Then when I'm married, I'll look back upon being single as when I was a kid. When I've been married for a few years, and have kids of my own, I'll look back on my newlywed years, you know, when I was a kid.
We lose more of our childhood everyday, my friend. Grab on to every little bit of it, for the rest of your life.
That sounds corny as hell, but I've been doing a lot of thinking about that recently, and thought I'd share. Feel free to ignore me.
i really like numbers 2 and 3. haven't heard number 1.
i totally agree. i miss the days of pegged blue jeans jelly shoes. but i suppose if we wati awhile those styles will come back.
and the days of no responsibility. just having fun because that was all we had to do. now it seems like people feel guilty for having fun (at least i do sometimes) because there are other things that we need to be doing (ie. work, school, etc.). i guess finding that balance is the key.
Tracy Chapman- "Fast Car" is a really beautiful song! I love it so much! I was just talking about how I miss my younger years, and I downloaded all these older songs that have reminded me of my happier, past-times as a child. It's so depressing (in some sort of way) to grow up.
oh, man i know what u mean. i wish i could go back too, when things weren't so complicated and nothing seemed bad. i remember my sister wearing all that stuff and i would watch her get ready every morning. this is Liset by the way. i added u.
