Despite being all "SWIMMING IN THE OLYMPICS IS MY DREEEEAAAAM", she nearly drowned in two feet of water once. And K!Domyoji was all helpless to do anything because he has a FEAR OF WATER!!!! and had to watch K!Rui go to her rescue. So he determinedly learned how to swim just in case she ever drowned again! Only with the whole amnesia thing, he forgot about it. So K!Makino was all "WELL MAYBE IF I DROWN MYSELF, HE WILL REMEMBER ME AND THEN REMEMBER HOW TO SWIM".
