Room 311 [morning]

Given that it was not a Tuesday, Kaylee wasn't awake yet.

She was sort of drifting in and out of consciousness, and she was vaguely aware that she'd had a very strange dream about wearing entirely too much black and swearing a lot. And Amber had tried to eat her. And Ned had had idiotic pants.

But, clearly that was a dream. Of course.

Ned didn't want to do this but he figured, he had to. And he thought if he took the initiative, it might be less ouchie.

So, after his class, he stopped by Kaylee's room and knocked on her door, a spiel ready to go.

That was enough to wake her up a bit, and she peered at her door before yawning and getting up to pad over to the door.

It was slowly beginning to dawn on her that that had been an awful realistic dream, and that she couldn't think of anything else she'd done that weekend. So maybe....

Yeah, no.

She opened the door. "Mornin', sweetheart!" she said cheerfully, smiling up at him.

"I got married to Turtle Wexler over the weekend but we weren't ourselves so it wasn't a real marriage. It wasn't even legal and nothing happened except a chaste kiss when we thought we'd been pronounced because then I fell asleep and she did radio and and and..."

He took a breath.

"And I know I threatened you and I am so sorry for doing that. I don't know who that was but he wasn't me and I feel awful and that's all. Bye!"

He waved, winced and tried to flee.

Kaylee's sleepy muscles took a moment, but she flailed out and grabbed his hand before he could flee. "Wait wait wait wait. Wait. It wasn't a dream?"
