Oh, I loved it! It was so well plotted! Nice mystery, well described crime and beautiful characters' description. I love John making friends with the Police team. And I love how Anderson is really decent guy in here and both him and Sally are well described characters even though they don't apepar so much. And I may have fallen a bit in love with description of Lestrade, when he came with the pizza to take care of the kids. ♥

Thanks so much for your kind words! Anderson's no saint, but he and Sally are well-respected by Lestrade, which implies that they're reasonably competent, decent people. As for Lestrade himself, he seems to be fond of kids, but if he had any, how would he be free to surrogate-parent Sherlock?

It's wonderful to read a gen mystery, and with John taking the lead on the investigation to boot ( ... )

Thanks for your comments! I figure John for a leader; just a subtle one. I've always wanted to write mysteries, but have been struggling to learn how to write a plot. The secret seems to be to steal bits and pieces from all over the place ( ... )

I really enjoyed this.

You wrote John as intelligent and very capable on his own. Thank you. I honenstly could see ‘Captain Watson’ leaking through. :)

I also really enjoyed you made Sally and Anderson characters here.

LOL! Everyone knows that the reason Sally and Sherlock rub each other the wrong way is because they’re WAY too much alike. Opinionated, stubborn, thinks they’re right and not afraid to share their opinions right out of the gate regardless of how rude they might be.

LOL! Poor Lestrade. :)

Thanks for the encouragement! I'm worried that John is a little too strong, but Doyle's Watson was quite capable of running investigations on his own by the time they got to the Hound of the Baskervilles. Sally, Sherlock, and Anderson can all be Lestrade's evil triplets. I'd drink too if I were him!!! :D

Your blog looks nice, even so it would be far better if you’ll be able to use lighter colors too as a professional design. This will make sure that a lot more readers come to check it out.Informative post by the way!

This is a lovely mystery. I like the way that John gets to take charge when Sherlock is being sulky. And I like your take on Anderson and Sally Donovan, too!
