But on a serious note, I think my favorite part of that entire quote was "karmic overhaul." That just sounds cool. You should learn to play guitar, then make several musician friends so that you can start a band with that name. sorry, but this whole pessimism deal just doesnt do it for me. pessimism focuses on the bad points, and pours all of its effort into complaining and bitching about it (see your comment). naturally, that makes it so it cant help you better the world so that you can stop complaining.

whereas i believe that optimism in overdose is unhealthy and disgustingly blinding, it does have its fine points. at least it gives you a reason to smile while the things that you'd normally complain about are going on, plus, it sets you on the road towards making them better, or at least dealing with them with a brighter mind.

so, not to offend you or anything, im just wondering why you choose pessimism... can you at least answer that question?

i love the HV hippies. everyone always smiles and says hi or tells you you're gorgeous or helps you saw some plywood or something. what a cool place. for a second, when i saw that calf at an hour old, i swore off meat. (i went to mcdonalds later that day, but you know what?! that's not the point!)
